A brief vague summery, since there are 90 some chapters.
The story starts off with Shen Yuan’s death after reading the ending of Proud Immortal Demon way, a massively long web novel that he had a love hate relationship with. In fact, he died due to rage against it. (Sources differ on if he just had a rage induced heart attack or if rage blinded him on eating expired instant noodles.) The next thing he knows he wakes up in the body of Shen QingQiu, the scum villain of the story.
At first Shen Yuan can only try and follow the system laid before him. He is not allowed to act OOC, and he is constantly warned that if he does he will lose points and if he goes below 0 he will be sent back to his original world. This isn’t something he wants to do since he’s dead, so he tries his best.
However, he can’t get over the cruel treatment of the protagonist Luo Binghe, who is severely abused and bullied and it was all encouraged by the original Shen QingQiu. He wants to help him, but the system won’t allow him. For the first while he circumvents this issue by finding loopholes such as if no one saw him help then no one would know he was OOC, or saying that the action would impress another character that the original definitely would have wanted. Thankfully it doesn’t take long to get to the first event check point that allows for him to be OOC.
After reaching that check point he immediately improves Luo Binghe’s life, though mostly he is just directly kinder to him. This however is the cornerstone of the changes that would come, and where Luo Binghe falls in love with Shen QingQiu.
The next part that is pretty important is the next event check point, this is the part of Proud Immortal Demon Way where the protagonist is forced through hardship and must grow, he is suppose to be thrown into the abyss by the villain. It is deemed an unavoidable event. Shen Yuan does not want to do this, but he is forced. And because he is blinded by his knowledge of the book, he doesn’t think of a different way to manage the situation and is forced to stab Luo Binghe (though it was an honest accident) and push him into the abyss. This event would start what should be five years of Luo Binghe suffering and leveling up, instead he races back in three.
Meanwhile for three years Shen Yuan as Shen QingQiu is in mourning, though he wouldn’t admit it. Everyone around him described him as “as if his soul had left him”. Despite this, he was worried about Luo Binghe coming back and getting revenge, so he did come up with a plan. That plan was to create a plant body out of a rare spiritual plant and move his soul into it. He is even helped by the surprise author of the story that also got transmigrated in. However, since they expected five years but only got three the plant body was not yet ready.
When Luo Binghe shows up again various shenanigans ensue, demons are let lose on a city, Shen QingQiu is accused of various crimes, Luo Binghe is pissed at him and torments him a little. Finally unable to do much, he is sent to a prison. While in the prison one of Luo Binghe’s potential harem members whips Shen QingQiu as if he were a love rival. (Shen Yuan even comments that the weapon she uses is only used on love rivals and still does not get a hit.) She tatters his clothes and he is only saved when Luo Binghe comes and makes her leave. They have have a bit of a talk, but it’s not helpful because Binghe is really aggressive and pissy, and Shen QingQiu thinks he wants to kill him. In reality Luo Binghe is trying to come to terms with Shen QingQiu’s betrayal, and his feelings for him. But he can’t properly confess or explain himself. He intends to clear Shen QingQiu of all crimes, but too little too late.
Shen QingQiue escapes from prison. His plan is to send his soul into his plant body, which is almost ready, but they had to use chemical fertilizers on it so if he doesn’t use it it will die within a couple days. As he’s trying to get to the aray they set up he is stalked by Luo Binghe. (Oh, and at this point he has had demon blood forced down his throat which means Luo Binghe can control stuff inside him.) He’s finally caught right at the sight of his array, and Luo Binghe is trying to threaten him with his demon sword Xin Mo, but it takes advantage of him and tries to take him over. In this moment Shen QingQiu absorbs the demon energy and then self destructs killing himself. This sacrifice causes Luo Binghe to break and sob, because despite seeming threatening he never wanted to hurt Shen QingQiu, and this is also where he starts a five year war with Liu QingGe (Another peak lord who Shen QingQiu/Yuan befriended through the power of kindness!And probably has a crush on him).
Meanwhile, Shen QingQiu, or Shen Yuan at this point they are pretty much the same, sent his soul to his plant body. But, due to using chemical fertilizer he does not wake up until five years later. Various shenanigans ensue where Shen QingQiu is a power house of unlimited spiritual energy and he has a lot of fun with it. But then he runs into some disciples he knows being kidnapped by demons so he goes to save them. This gets his captured and then given over to Luo Binghe, though Binghe does not know who he is at first. (His plant body is a mixture of QingQiu and his original self looks wise.) This is where he finds out that Luo Binghe has been cradling his cops for five years repairing his meridians and trying to resurrect him from the dead.
He also starts being dragged into Luo Binghe’s dreams. While in one dream he is forcibly kissed and finally realizes Binghe’s feelings. At this point he doesn’t understand why or how it happened.
During this potato stage Liu QingGe manages to steal his body back, with Potato Shen QingQiu’s help, they all go back to Cang Qiong Mountain, it’s revealed that Shen QingQiu’s soul is in the plant body, and Luo Binghe starts a war trying to get the body back.
Right when Shen QingQiu is going to let Luo Binghe take him away to stop the fight, someone steals his body, which pisses Luo BingHe off, but he takes Shen QingQiu back with him to the demon world anyway. Shen QingQiu really doesn’t want to deal with him and tells him he doesn’t want to see him. Luo BingHe at this point is trying to be nicer because he’s so happy he’s not dead. He tries to win him with cooking, which Shen QingQiu is weak towards, and right when maybe they might have a real conversation and talk about important things, Shen QingQiu’s soul is ripped out of his potato plant body and back to his original (original Shen QingQiu) immortal body.
It turns out Luo BingHe’s dad, is the final boss, and is back from the sort of dead! And Shen QingQiu while on his quest to obtain the ingredients for a plant body accidentally set the flag for a snake boy named Zhuzhi Lang. Zhuzhi Lang is the sort of innocent and honest type that repays all who do him well, and kills all who do him wrong. Lucky Shen QingQiu did him well! And so, to repay him he wants him safe with them while he and his lord plan the END OF THE WORLD!
Or really the combining of both demona and human world, but doing this will hurt both sides big time.
More shenanigans ensue Luo Binghe tracks him down in a very reckless manner, tries to fight his dad who is too strong and get super sick and hurt in the process. Shen QingQiu then has to use his understanding of the layout of their location based on what he remembered of the books to get them out. He is very cool and protective and fights very hard to get out!
Ultimately it’s a loss though, despite Luo Binghe being able to heal up, he has to run off for a while. In this time Shen QingQiu gets to tag along and learn a bit more about demons.
But just as he was almost making friends with everyone Luo Binghe pops up and is extra jealous about friendship with our honest Snake Boy, his dad wonders if Shen QingQiu needs to have relations with two people at once to be satisfied, and Liu QingGe comes back to save Shen QingQiu.
After a successful rescue mission Liu QingGe, Luo BingHe and Shen QingQiu walk into an inn, they fight over 2 rooms versus 3, and have to settle for 2 because of lacking funds. After a fight of who gets to share a room with Shen QingQiu, said person takes a room by themselves and leaves them to suffer together. After some character development with Liu QingGe they head on to a conference to deal with the rise of demons.
A checkpoint event is failed, and Shen QingQiu needs to suffer a penalty, at this point he has earned a special feature and instead of being sent back to his dead self as Shen Yuan he is forced to live the moments where the original Shen QingQiu had his leg and arm torn off him as punishment in the original story. After this he wakes up after a few days of being unconscious. (He has a bad habit of doing this.)
A plan is made to fight against the demon army and to stop the merger, also a plan to get Luo Binghe into the good graces of the other sects, because that is also a goal of the system.
Various things ensue, the Final Boss is defeated, but wait! There’s a secret end boss! And it was….
LUO BINGHE!
Yes, our dear Luo Binghe was taken over by Xin Mo again. The area everyone was in was falling apart, and the only way to save the world, and save Luo BingHe from destroying himself is to break the cause of his mental weakness, his obsession.
His obsession with Shen QingQiu.
Determined to save Luo BingHe Shen QingQiu prepares to go and take the demon energy into himself and try and give him what he wants.
And this is when he becomes an ImPort.
PERSONALITY:
Shen Yuan in his original life was a bit of an internet troll, or, a rather prolific novel reviewer that was found on every well known web novel site and review site. Specifically he was over invested in Proud Immortal Demon Way, constantly raging about it and it’s bad writing, while still buying access to new chapters, and every physical print copy (at least 20). This sort of self inflicted masochism stays with him through transmigration.
Despite his constant internal panic, rage, sarcasm, and roasting, he is fairly good at keeping a straight face outwardly. Though, he is not necessarily as good at keeping up the image as he thinks he is. It’s quite obvious to those around him how he feels, as he wears his sadness, kindness and worry pretty openly. He tries to hide some of his feelings through reprimands and scolding, but it is never in a real heartfelt way. He really had a soft heart.
As a second generation child and an internet denison Shen Yuan is rather aware of tropes and has a few specific interests. He likes monsters and fights, he is overly aware of novel plot tropes, and he has a soft spot for “moe”. Specifically the type for a young obedient person that you want to protect and keep pure. He is weak to crying and sad faces, and he will internally squeal at pretty and ernest characters that try their best. This is one of the things that makes him weak to Lue Binghe when he first meets him and makes him even more distraught when later he is forced to betray him. You could say he is someone that has a lot of feelings, but keeps them to himself for the most part.
Shen Yuan is incredibly bad at reading other people's emotions and intentions. He’s pretty oblivious of their feelings unless it’s pushed into his face in an obvious way. Some of this is because as a reader of Proud Immortal Demon Way he is assuming things will be exactly like the book, some of it is because in his original life he really didn’t interact with people other than his family and his social skills are a bit low. This leads to a lot of misunderstandings. It also doesn’t help that his answer to problems is to run away from them for the most part. He also has a bad habit of sacrificing himself to the despair of those who love him.
Ideally Shen Yuan wants to live an idle life where he doesn’t have to do much and is taken care of. Despite this though, he will take care of things that need to be taken care of, and when he sees innocent people in pain or hardship he will go a step above and beyond to help them without thinking of his own safety. But, he would never call himself an altruistic person, or a person who is particularly nice. He thinks he is a much harsher than he really is.

Golden Core Cultivator:
Shen QingQiu as a cultivator has an Immortal body (doesn’t age, is sturdier than a mortal, is stronger than a mortal, does not need to eat or sleep often.), the ability to use spiritual powers drawn from within his core (general magic including mild healing, faster self healing, and such), and fly on his sword. He does not have infinite energy however, and once depleted he does need rest for it to recharge.
He is also suffering from a poison called No Cure, which periodically interrupts the flow of his qi, which causes him to be unable to use his powers. When this happens he needs to have his energy cycled with someone else that has high spiritual powers.

This was not the first time the Shen QingQiu had woken up to an unfamiliar ceiling, or the first time he felt like he was being medically treated. This was honestly not an unfamiliar situation, though a completely new situation!
Quietly he accepted everything that was told to him, let himself be ushered around and then brought up to the surface, he took the pamphlet and stared at it, as well as the money. It was all a bit of a daze really, his mind was still trying to catch up. Wasn’t there something terrible happening just moments ago…?
It wasn’t until placed outside with his little care package that it all hit at once.
“Binghe!” He had to save Binghe! He had to stop him! But, where was he? Wait… they did explain it…. “Did I transmigrate again? System! What is going on!?” He accidentally yelled his internal thoughts outward, but quickly reeled it back in feigning that of a calm regal master.
Though, if he thought about it. This wasn’t that shocking. He might as well start getting to know the place he was in now.
FINAL NOTES:
As a cultivator he can theoretically teach cultivation to anyone who has the innate spiritual ability. Ideally they should be between 12 and 14, but older can still be taught.

The ability to use his spiritual sword to fly on it and to manipulate it in the air without holding it, and cut things with an energy (known as a sword glare) that radiates from it. (Without his sword he can't do very much)
The ability to use spiritual energy to strengthen objects, such as his fan and use it in situations a fan would normally break. This same principle can be put into leaves and make them razor sharp and be sent at enemies like hundreds of little knives.
Spiritual energy can also be used to heal, it can be used to accelerate healing his wounds or the wounds on others. It's not an instant heal but it can help reduce life threatening things or help sustain through long hardships.
His immortal body his does not age, does not need much food or water, is stronger then a normal human and more resilient.
Without a Cure:
The poison works by shutting the flow of spiritual energy in the body, eventually leading to death. (The body does not function.) To avoid this another person will synch their energy with his and move their spiritual power through him to get the flow working again.
After treatment flair ups can happen unpredictably, either going months without issue or only a few weeks. In canon it's used as an excuse to restrict him when convenient and for comedy. I plan to use it for CR purposes and for similar nerfing and comedy.

Determined to save Luo BingHe Shen QingQiu prepares to go and take the demon energy into himself and try and give him what he wants.

PERSONALITY:
Shen Yuan in his original life was a bit of an internet troll, or, a rather prolific novel reviewer that was found on every well known web novel site and review site. Specifically he was over invested in Proud Immortal Demon Way, constantly raging about it and it’s bad writing, while still buying access to new chapters, and every physical print copy (at least 20). This sort of self inflicted masochism stays with him through transmigration.
Despite his constant internal panic, rage, sarcasm, and roasting, he is fairly good at keeping a straight face outwardly. Though, he is not necessarily as good at keeping up the image as he thinks he is. It’s quite obvious to those around him how he feels, as he wears his sadness, kindness and worry pretty openly. He tries to hide some of his feelings through reprimands and scolding, but it is never in a real heartfelt way. He really had a soft heart.
As a second generation child and an internet denison Shen Yuan is rather aware of tropes and has a few specific interests. He likes monsters and fights, he is overly aware of novel plot tropes, and he has a soft spot for “moe”. Specifically the type for a young obedient person that you want to protect and keep pure. He is weak to crying and sad faces, and he will internally squeal at pretty and ernest characters that try their best. This is one of the things that makes him weak to Lue Binghe when he first meets him and makes him even more distraught when later he is forced to betray him. You could say he is someone that has a lot of feelings, but keeps them to himself for the most part.
Shen Yuan is incredibly bad at reading other people's emotions and intentions. He’s pretty oblivious of their feelings unless it’s pushed into his face in an obvious way. Some of this is because as a reader of Proud Immortal Demon Way he is assuming things will be exactly like the book, some of it is because in his original life he really didn’t interact with people other than his family and his social skills are a bit low. This leads to a lot of misunderstandings. It also doesn’t help that his answer to problems is to run away from them for the most part. He also has a bad habit of sacrificing himself to the despair of those who love him.
Ideally Shen Yuan wants to live an idle life where he doesn’t have to do much and is taken care of. Despite this though, he will take care of things that need to be taken care of, and when he sees innocent people in pain or hardship he will go a step above and beyond to help them without thinking of his own safety. But, he would never call himself an altruistic person, or a person who is particularly nice. He thinks he is a much harsher than he really is.
POWER:
Golden Core Cultivator:
Shen QingQiu as a cultivator has an Immortal body (doesn’t age, is sturdier than a mortal, is stronger than a mortal, does not need to eat or sleep often.), the ability to use spiritual powers drawn from within his core (general magic including mild healing, faster self healing, and such), and fly on his sword. He does not have infinite energy however, and once depleted he does need rest for it to recharge.
He is also suffering from a poison called No Cure, which periodically interrupts the flow of his qi, which causes him to be unable to use his powers. When this happens he needs to have his energy cycled with someone else that has high spiritual powers.

This was not the first time the Shen QingQiu had woken up to an unfamiliar ceiling, or the first time he felt like he was being medically treated. This was honestly not an unfamiliar situation, though a completely new situation!
Quietly he accepted everything that was told to him, let himself be ushered around and then brought up to the surface, he took the pamphlet and stared at it, as well as the money. It was all a bit of a daze really, his mind was still trying to catch up. Wasn’t there something terrible happening just moments ago…?
It wasn’t until placed outside with his little care package that it all hit at once.
“Binghe!” He had to save Binghe! He had to stop him! But, where was he? Wait… they did explain it…. “Did I transmigrate again? System! What is going on!?” He accidentally yelled his internal thoughts outward, but quickly reeled it back in feigning that of a calm regal master.
Though, if he thought about it. This wasn’t that shocking. He might as well start getting to know the place he was in now.
FINAL NOTES:
As a cultivator he can theoretically teach cultivation to anyone who has the innate spiritual ability. Ideally they should be between 12 and 14, but older can still be taught.

Powers:
The ability to use his spiritual sword to fly on it and to manipulate it in the air without holding it, and cut things with an energy (known as a sword glare) that radiates from it. (Without his sword he can't do very much)
The ability to use spiritual energy to strengthen objects, such as his fan and use it in situations a fan would normally break. This same principle can be put into leaves and make them razor sharp and be sent at enemies like hundreds of little knives.
Spiritual energy can also be used to heal, it can be used to accelerate healing his wounds or the wounds on others. It's not an instant heal but it can help reduce life threatening things or help sustain through long hardships.
His immortal body his does not age, does not need much food or water, is stronger then a normal human and more resilient.
Without a Cure:
The poison works by shutting the flow of spiritual energy in the body, eventually leading to death. (The body does not function.) To avoid this another person will synch their energy with his and move their spiritual power through him to get the flow working again.
After treatment flair ups can happen unpredictably, either going months without issue or only a few weeks. In canon it's used as an excuse to restrict him when convenient and for comedy. I plan to use it for CR purposes and for similar nerfing and comedy.
